smart-energy-regionsOn 18 – 19 November, the “Smart Energy Regions” project will hold a plenary meeting at National Research Council (CNR) of Rome, Italy. Andrea Ricci, ISIS Vice-President, will take part as a speaker, bringing his long-standing experience in the framework of European projects focused on energy and environment, and including a large number of international stakeholders.

Running for 4 years since its launch in March 2012, “Smart Energy Regions” intends to investigate drivers and barriers that may impact on the large scale implementation of low carbon technologies in the built environment, essential to meet the targets for sustainable development set by EU and national governments. The action is involving several European researchers with different backgrounds, counting 70 experts from 26 countries at the moment.

Further information on the COST Action TU1104 “Smart Energy Regions” is available on the website, and additional details on the plenary meeting can be found on the CNR website.
