In recent decades systems analysis and engineering have grown into specialised and sophisticated disciplines. ISIS relies on the expertise of a multi-disciplinary team - including engineers, statisticians, experts in information technology, economists – which uses sophisticated theoretical and technical tools to carry out:

  • analysis of systems problems and situations;
  • construction of mathematical models to forecasts on systems' future operation;
  • definition of scenarios to describe in consistent plausible terms future complex situations whose formal analysis would otherwise be impossible;
  • construction of decision support systems to assist decision makers in the hard task of choosing and designing complex policies in conditions of uncertainty;
  • integration of different systems, taking into account financial, social, organisational and environmental considerations;
For more than two decades ISIS has supplied expertise and solved complex problems for a variety of public and private organisations and notably for the European Commission.

ISIS avails itself of state of the art information technologies, and develops its own interactive and user-friendly software applications
