clean-fleets-newsDuring a two-day workshop, taking place on 11 – 12 December in Bremen (Germany), European project Clean Fleets will show transport operators and authorities how bus purchasing can become greener and more sustainable in their cities, in line with the European Clean Vehicles Directive (CVD). Clean Fleets aims at facilitating the implementation of the CVD, by accelerating a broad market introduction of vehicles with higher energy and environmental standards, and thereby reduce energy consumption, noise, CO2 and pollutant emissions.

Attended by ISIS as a partner of the project, Clean Fleets workshop will outline experiences from different cities in clean bus procurement, comparing technology options for clean vehicles, focusing on electrification, and assessing the impact of the CVD on the Life Cycle Cost approach. Moreover, participants will also see the concept of sustainable mobility with their own eyes, thanks to a half-day study visit in Bremen, observing how this local public transport system manages to combine electric trams, conventional EEV diesel buses and diesel-electric buses.
